Trikonasana (Trianlge Pose)

 

Trikonasana ( Trianlge Pose) 

Trikon  means ‘triangle’.  In this  asana,  the position of the body becomes like a tiangle.

 

Procedure

  1. Stand erect with feet apart.

  2. Inhale and extend arm sideways.

  3. Raise the arm to the level of the shoulders with the palm facing down.

  4. Bend trunk to the right side and touch right toes with the right hand.

  5. Stretch left arm upwards.

  6. Remain in this position for five to ten seconds.

  7. Repeat this exercise in the opposite direction by first bending the trunk to the left side and touching the left toes with the left hand.

Benefits 

Ø       Useful in gout and lumbar spondylitis.

·         Highly useful in removing stiffness and pain in the neck.

·         Helps in removing pain from shoulders’ joints.

·         Makes spine flexible.

·         Increases memory and mental power.

·         Also beneficial for eyes.
